Range of the Dead (Super Zombie Hunter) is back up on the Google Play store! Sorry for the long wait. If you're wondering why it's called Super Zombie Hunter on Android, it's just what the publisher wanted. Help share the news & have fun!

I really wanted to get this but it was being stupid when I tried to download it last time, glad to see that it's back. Might try again, though I'm wondering if perhaps my phone is just too out of date...

Any word on Unity 4? Surely SOMEONE in their company is working on a fix for the Flash export!

Also, I don't understand your publishers. I think it's dumb that they renamed it, it's meant to be part of a series..

Hey Matt, what phone do you have? Regarding the name, mainly they just figured it would be better marketing wise on Android, they helped us reach 1 million installs though, so can't argue with that. We really wanted to export to Flash using Unity 4 but unfortunately Adobe added weird licensing rules and makes the whole process complex & annoying. Our artist posted more details about it here: http://sickdeathfiend.newgrounds.com/news/post/786517

Haha yeah I have read that post. I is a bit weird but I don't think it is meant to be as complicated as it seems... I'm guessing there is more to it than that excerpt though. So the export DOES work now?

Ugh, I don't even know. It's a telstra phone, model T3020. Not sure if it was the software or the hardware that it had a problem with though, the whole Google Play site was being weird for me. Pretty sure it said I had no available devices to download to or something, I'll check again.

Fairenough I suppose, I guess marketing is marketing, I just found it strange haha

Yeah Matt it is that complicated, the export works-ish and the adobe licensing makes it completely impossible to distribute the flash game, you need a license file on each server, which is impossible.
We'll do a Stage3D port in the near-ish future.

Hey EvilDog!
(I'm Matex on newgrounds)
Yeah I figured there was a lot more to it than what I saw. I don't suppose it's worth contacting them about it? Or do you know if people have been complaining? I looked at some stuff on their site and they seemed pretty satisfied with what they'd done. Obviously they wont just jump and change the rules at your question but with luck it could change in a newer version? Just a suggestion.

In any case I'm following all of your stuff avidly, even if you don't see me commenting or anything haha, keep it up! Glad to see things going well for you :D
